UMF Too Much For Johnson

FARMINGTON, Maine - Johnson State women's basketball dropped a road North Atlantic Conference (NAC) tilt on Friday night by the count of 50-28.  The Badgers stand at 2-8 overall, 0-4 in the NAC while UMF improves to 3-7, 2-3 NAC.

Farmington's Emma Morrison (Saco, Maine) led a balanced Farmington attack with 13 points while Mallory Bonnevie (Jay, Maine) contributed eight points.

JSC rookie Brittany Robertson (Burlington, Vt./Burlington) scored a game-high 16 points and also grabbed six rebounds.  Senior guard Andrea Deuell (Milton, Vt./Milton) had six points and six rebounds to supplement the Badger effort.

Farmington held JSC scoreless over the first 12 minutes to hold a 13-0 lead before JSC closed the half competitively and trailed 26-10 going into the locker room at halftime.

The Beavers would grow the lead to as many as 27 in the second half before earning the victory.

Johnson moves on to play at Thomas College on Saturday at 3:00 pm while Farmington will host Lyndon State College also on Saturday at 3:00.
