NEW LONDON, N.H. - Johnson State College saw host Colby-Sawyer College close the first half on a 24-0 run to key a 89-58 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's basketball victory on Saturday.  Johnson stands at 4-14, 2-10 (NAC) while Colby-Sawyer improves to 13-5, 9-2 NAC.

The Badgers were paced by freshman guard Brittany Robertson (Burlington, Vt./Burlington) (pictured) and her 26 points, five rebounds and four steals while knocking down six 3-pointers and senior guard Andrea Deuell (Milton, Vt./Milton) who scored 20 points.

Colby-Sawyer's Taylor DeSanty, a junior, needed five points entering the game to reach 1,000 for her career.  DeSanty would go for 26 points on the day to surpass the milestone and lead the Chargers in the win.  Junior Cailin Bullett recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 assists.  Sophomore Ashley Fruzzetti canned four 3-pointers en route to 14 points and also grabbed seven rebounds.

The Chargers would shoot a red-hot 61% from the floor in the first half to key a 54-23 lead at halftime.  For the game C-SC would out-rebound Johnson 52-30 as the margin would grow to 49 but the Badgers battled back for the final 31 point gap.

Johnson will move on to play at Lyndon State College on Tuesday at 5:30 pm while Colby-Sawyer faces off at New England College also on Tuesday at 5:30 pm.
