Johnson Falls to GMC 66-55

POULTNEY, Vt. – The Johnson State women's basketball team suffered a difficult 66-55 road loss Tuesday night against the Green Mountain Eagles.  The loss sees Johnson fall to 1-10 overall and 0-6 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) while the Eagles improve to 3-7 overall and 1-4 in conference play.

Sophomore Brittany Robertson (Burlington, Vt. / Burlington) made three shots from beyond the arc finishing the game with 14 points as well as pulling down seven rebounds. Freshman Lazrin Schenck (Shelburne, Vt. / Champlain Valley Union) would end the game with 13 points on 6 of 10 shooting and eight rebounds in a solid performance for the Badgers.

For the Eagles, senior Chelsea Paul (Northville, N.Y.) and freshman Maria Lafond (Schenectady, N.Y.) both contributed 18 points towards pushing the Eagles past the visiting Badgers 66-55.

The Badgers will face Maine Maritime on Friday at 5:30 in the first of two NAC games. The Eagles will have a day to prepare for their next game when they host Colby- Sawyer on Thursday evening also at 5:30.
