Badgers Topple Eagles 76-20 in NAC Opener

The Johnson State College Badgers toppled visiting Green Mountain College 76-20 in the North Atlantic Conference opener Wednesday night in Carter Gym at Johnson State College. Johnson improved to 1-4 overall and 1-0 in NAC play while the Eagles drop to 0-4 on the year and 0-1 in the NAC. 

Freshman forward Kasey DeGreenia led the Badgers offense pouring in 14 points and grabbing 20 rebounds off the glass. Teammate Brittany Robertson chipped in 12 points and two helpers in the Badgers' winning effort.

Amber Heath led the Eagles with five points.

The Badgers dominated play for the entirety of the game, easily closing out the first half 37-10.

In the second half, Johnson pulled ahead by 58 for their largest lead of the game at 2:09. The Badgers swiftly closed out the game 76-20.

JSC went 31-95 from the floor and 3-19 from behind the arc. Conversely, Green Mountain was 1-12 from deep and 4-40 overall.

Johnson returns to action this Friday as Me.-Farmington hosts the badgers for a 7:30p tip. Green Mountain will host NAC opponent at 3:00p on Saturday, December 7th.
