Johnson Fights to 67-60 Win Over Lyndon
Johnson went on a 24-7 run to walk off with a hard-fought 67-60 North Atlantic Conference victory over Lyndon Saturday at Stannard Gymnasium Saturday afternoon.

With the score tied at 34, Lyndon's Chelsea Watson scored 14 of the Hornets' next 19 points to build a double-digit lead. However, the Badgers, behind a strong inside game and a couple key jumpers by Eliannie Sola and Domonique Carter-Stanley, managed to tie the score at 60-60 with 2:28 remaining. Kasey DeGreenia's three-point play with 1:15 left in regulation gave Johnson (3-8, 3-3) a lead it would never relinquish.

Sola led the way with 16 points and two assists while DeGreenia finished with 13 points, 13 rebounds and two blocked shots. Sarah Voorhis collected 15 points, eight rebounds and two assists for the Badgers.

Watson had 15 points for Lyndon (0-9, 0-6); including 12 from beyond the three-point arc, and Emily Gray had 13 points, including a pair of treys. Chelsea Bagley collected 10 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals for the Hornets while Amanda Martin chipped in eight rebounds and three blocked shots.

Johnson State moves on to host Castleton this Thursday, January 16th at 5:30p.
