The Johnson State women's basketball team used a balanced attack to walk off with a  71-51 win over Thomas College at Johnson State's Carter Gymnasium Friday evening. The Badgers improve to 6-13 on the year and 6-7 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play while Thomas dips to 3-17 overall and 3-9 in the NAC.

Junior Brittany Robertson led the Badgers with 16 points, going 6-13 from the field while freshman teammate Allyson Bruckner contributed 10 points towards the win pulling down four off the glass.  Ashley Goddard led the Badgers in rebounds grabbing seven. 

The Terriers were led by Katie McAllister who dished off 16 points and seven rebounds in Thomas' losing effort. She was aided by Elizabeth Goodall who notched 15 points.

The Badgers opened up the first stanza with a 17-11 run. Johnson continued to attack, taking the lead for good at the 11:23 mark. Thomas' offense kept the game close until 5:24, when Sarah Voorhis banked a layup to push the Badgers' lead to double digits. Johnson went into the half with a 32-21 advantage.

The Terriers were able to trim the lead to 12 points in the second half, but their effort was not enough to overcome the Badgers who used a burst of scoring at the end of play to lead to a 20 point victory for the Badgers.

The Badgers shot 44 percent from the floor (26-59), 23.5 percent from three-point range (4-17) and went a solid 60 percent from the foul line (15-25).

Johnson returns to action tomorrow against Me. Farmington at 1:00p in a conference matchup at home.  Thomas will travel to NAC opponent, Lyndon St. tomorrow at 1:00pm.
