Visiting Norwich claimed a 70-39 victory over Johnson State in a Tuesday evening non-conference contest held at Johnson's Carter Gymnasium. Johnson State drops to 7-14 overall and stays 7-7 in the NAC. The Cadets improved to 12-10 overall.

The Badgers were paced by forward Ashley Goddard, who ended the evening with 8 points, two steals, and seven rebounds. Kirsten Rand chipped in 6 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.

The Cadets enjoyed a balanced scoring attack all game long. Aliah Curry led Norwich with a game high 26 points with six rebounds and two steals. Teammate Kelsey Lotti chipped in 20 points and six rebounds.

The Cadets defense took control of this game early as they held the home Badgers scoreless until the 11:54 mark of the first half. The defensive battle continued the remainder of the half as Norwich held Johnson State to only 17 first half points, while the visitors held a strong 36-17 lead at the half.

The Badgers scored first to begin the second half on a Kasey DeGreenia layup. However, the Cadets nailed two three-pointers in quick succession to extend their grip on the contest. The visiting Cadets were able to build the lead throughout the second half through solid jump shooting. The Badgers were unable to overcome the deficit and Norwich coasted to a 70-39 victory out scoring their opponents by 31 points.

The Badgers will travel to Maine Maritime Academy this Friday with a 5:30p tip time while the Cadets will host Albertus Magnus on Saturday at 1:00p.
