Badgers Cruise to a 76-46 Win Over Terriers

Johnson State College placed three players in double figure scoring as the Badgers cruised to a 76-46 win over visiting Thomas College. With the win, the Badgers advance to 2-5 overall and 2-1 on North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play while the Terriers drop to 0-7 overall and 0-3 in the conference.

Sarah Voorhis led all scorers with a game-high 19 points to go with 10 rebounds and one block,  assist and steal. Kasey DeGreenia and Brittany Robertson tallied 12 and 11 points respectively, while Domonique Carter-Stanley grabbed nine boards on the day. 

For the Terriers, Katie McAllister was the lone player to tally double-digits as she notched 12 points overall. 

Johnson scored the first five points of the game before Thomas got on the board. Once the Badgers scored, they never let up the lead. Johnson would jump out ahead of the Badgers by as many as 19 points before they closed out the opening stanza ahead 38-19.  

Johnson came back from the break hot, going on a 14-5 run in the first six minutes to seal the win for the Badgers. With Johnson up 55-23 the Badgers settled into a comfortable pace, dominating the rest of the half. The Badgers closed out the day with ahead by 30 points, finishing the game at 76-46.

Johnson State will host Colby-Sawyer at 5:30pm on Thursday the 11th for another NAC contest while Thomas will host Me.-Presque Isle on the 13th for a 1:00pm tip off.
