Husson Continues Its Winning Ways

Husson University (9-3, 7-0 NAC) remains unbeaten in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play with an 66-47 win over Johnson State on Friday night at Carter Gymnasium.

Kenzie Worcester scored a game-high 17 points while Victoria McIntyre added 13. Chandler Guerrette pulled down a team-high  13 rebounds for the Eagles while McIntyre grabbed 11 boards.  

Johnson took the lead 7-2 in the first quarter seeing points come in from Amanda Bednarick, Domonique Carter-Stanley and Kasey DeGreenia. Husson rebounded in the second quarter, posting 19 points to Johnson's 10. The Eagles went 7-19 (36%) to the Badgers 31% (5-16) but. 

In the third quarter, the Badgers saw the Eagles extend their lead to 43-28 heading into the final quarter of the game. The Badgers battled back to cut their deficit to 59-40 at one point, but the Eagles offense proved to be too much. The visitors ended the game with a 66-47 victory. 

Husson returns to action against Lyndon St. tomorrow at 1:00pm while the Badgers will host Maine Maritime for another NAC contest at 1:00pm.
