On Saturday night, the women's basketball team continued North Atlantic Conference play facing Johnson State College for the first time this season, dropping the contest 63-41. 

Lyndon's Mikayla Hodge recorded yet another double-double of 16 points and 22 rebounds.  Shelby Sheridan pitched in six points and five rebounds while Victoria Carlson added seven points. 

Offensively, Johnson was led by Domonique Carter-Stanley and Amanda Bednarick with 12 points apiece.  Defensively, Kasey DeGreenia led with eight rebounds and added eight points.

It was a tough night for Lyndon offensively, shooting 21.5% from the field and turning the ball over 23 times.  Johnson was able to capitalize by converting 22 of their points off turnovers. 

The first quarter showed promise to be a close game with Lyndon answering seven to Johnson's eight. Carlson put a jump shot in within the first ten seconds.  Both teams were then held scoreless until Allyson Brucker's jump shot at the 6:16 mark.  Lyndon collected five consecutive points, but were then held scoreless the remaining four minutes as Johnson banked in six more points for the 8-7 lead.

Johnson amped up the defense in the second quarter with a full court press.  11 points was all Lyndon could deposit to Johnson's 24 to end the half at 32-18.

Up by 14, Johnson continued to full court press to start the second half.  In the first five minutes Lyndon outscored Johnson seven to six, but in the final five minutes Johnson drained ten to Lyndon's five, leading 48-30.

After a 5-0 start for Johnson in fourth quarter, both teams were held scoreless for two minutes until Marley Harmon (Buxton, Maine) was fouled, collecting one of two free throws.  In the final six minutes both teams cancelled each other out with ten points apiece.  Johnson collected their third conference win, finishing the contest with a 63-41 advantage.
