Farmington, Maine – The Johnson State College women's basketball team fell to UMaine-Farmington 63-48 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) contest on Friday night.
The Badgers move to 0-4 (0-2 NAC) on the season while Farmington improves to 3-2 (1-1 NAC).
1ST QUARTER
Johnson and Farmington kept it close in the opening minutes, with the Badgers taking an 11-9 lead with a made three-pointer by Jocelyn Pellerin (Keene, N.H.) with two minutes left in the period. The Beavers answered back before the end of the quarter with a layup to tie the game at 11 after one.
2ND QUARTER
The Badgers kept pace with the Beavers, with each team notching 19 to keep the score tied at 30 going into the half.
3RD QUARTER
Farmington came out of the break hot, going on a 14-0 run before Katelin Collins (Hyde Park, Vt.) recorded a jump shot and then a three-pointer with just under three minutes remaining in the quarter. Farmington closed out the third with a 46-38 lead.
4TH QUARTER
Farmington outscored the Badgers 17-10 in the final stanza to take a 63-48 victory over the visitors.
