WBB: Badgers Downed by Plymouth State

JOHNSON, Vt. – The Johnson State College women's basketball team fell to Plymouth State University 74-45 in a non-conference contest on Saturday afternoon.

The Badgers drop to 1-8 (1-4 NAC) on the season while the Panthers move to 4-6 (0-2 LEC).

1st QUARTER

PSU came out strong, shooting a 61.1% in the opening quarter while limiting Johnson to just 2-of-21 (9.5%) shooting through the first ten minutes to take a 24-6 lead.

2nd QUARTER

Plymouth State started the second quarter with a 9-0 spurt to push the lead to 27 points, 33-6. The Badgers outscored Plymouth by an 18-11 margin over the next six minutes, but the Panthers sank a three as the clock expired to send the Plymouth into the locker room with a 47-24 lead.

3rd QUARTER

Johnson came out strong in the second half, opening the quarter with six straight points, but the Panthers maintained their lead to go into the fourth quarter leading 60-36.

4th QUARTER

Plymouth outscored the Badgers 14-9 to cruise to the 74-45 victory.
