WBB: Pilgrims Defeat Badgers in NAC Contest

HENNIKER, N.H. – The Johnson State College women's basketball team fell to New England College 90-46 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game on Thursday evening.

The Badgers drop to 3-21 (2-15 NAC) on the season while the Pilgrims move to 14-10 (9-8 NAC).

1st QUARTER

NEC jumped out to an early 9-2 lead in the first three minutes of the game. After the Badgers brought the deficit down to 14-9, The Pilgrims went on a 7-0 run over the final three minutes of the quarter to take a 21-9 lead after one.

2nd QUARTER

The Pilgrims kept the pressure on in the second, holding Johnson to just eight point and taking a 43-17 lead into halftime.

3rd QUARTER

The Johnson offense picked up in the third, as they matched their output from the first half with 17 points. The Pilgrims kept their momentum going, however, matching the Badgers with 26 points to gain a 69-34 advantage going into the fourth.

4th QUARTER

NEC Put Johnson away in the fourth, outscoring the Badgers 21-12 in the period for the 90-46 victory.
