Today our Women's Badgers Basketball team played at home against the Cazenovia Wildcats. Our Badgers played a tremendous all around game on both the offensive side and defensive side of the ball. in the first half our Badgers outscored the Wildcats 35-14. Coming out the half the Badgers exploded even more on the offensive side of the ball scoring 37 points in the third quarter and 25 points in the fourth quarter with the final score being 97-52. The Badgers as a team also got 19 steals dominating the defensive end as well. As well with great ball movement with 28 assists.
The standout performances today were Devyn Thompson with 12 points shooting 50% from deep, Emma Buonanno with 15 points, Gabrielle Wardwell with the double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Paris Atuahene with the triple-double and almost a quadruple-double with 25 points, 15 assists, 10 rebounds, and 8 steals.
This puts their record at 12-8 and conference record at 5-5.
Their next game is Saturday 2/4/23 away against SUNY Canton for another conference match up.
