Johnson State Drops First Game of NU Women's Soccer Classic

NORTHFIELD, VT. – The Johnson State College women's soccer team lost to the College of Staten Island 5-0 in their first of two games at the NU Women's Soccer Classic. 

Johnson drops to 0-2 on the season, while the Dolphins improve to 1-0-1

SCORING

1ST Half: The Dolphins scored two goals in two minutes around the 30th minute to take the 2-0 lead going into halftime. Krystina Rodriguez and Jennifer Cosenza were the goal scorers for CSI. 

2nd Half: Staten Island spread three goals over the second preiod to bring the final score to 5-0. Stephanie Lapointe netted two goals and Lauren Smith added another in the period.

GOALKEEPERS

Kaila Lemmer (Barnard, Vt.) was tested heavily in goal, making 24 saves on 29 shots, and was given the loss. Nicole Mignone got the win for the Dolphins, earning the shutout.
