NORTHFIELD, VT. – The Johnson State College women's soccer team lost to Norwich 2-0 in their second game of the NU Women's Soccer Classic.

The loss brings Johnson to 0-3 on the season, while the Cadets improve to 1-1-1.

SCORING

1^ST Half: The Cadets picked up their first goal in the 17th minute on a goal by Ashley Carvalho.

2^nd Half: Norwich added an insurance goal in the 62nd minute with a goal by Mehgan McMullen, assisted by Jordan Lutz.

GOALKEEPERS

Naomi Quad (Morrisville,Vt.) was solid in net for Johnson, allowing just two goals on 16 shots, but was unable to get support from the offense and was given the loss. Leandra Flores-Nieves stopped all four shots she faced to earn the shutout win.

NEXT UP

Johnson will hit the road again this weekend, when they participate in the Potsdam College Cup, as they will face SUNY Potsdam on Friday, followed by a match with Clarkson on Saturday.
