POTSDAM, N.Y. – The Johnson State College women's soccer team lost to SUNY Potsdam 7-0 in the first game of the Potsdam College Cup on Friday afternoon.
The loss brings Johnson to 0-4 on the season, while the Bears improve to 3-1.
SCORING
1ST Half: SUNY Potsdam scored all seven of their goals over an 11-minute span in the first half. Brooke Falsion scored two goals while Jaci Morr, Ciara Norris, Rylie Murray, Rachael Venne, and Morgan Robbins all chipped in goals for the Bears.
2nd Half: No Scoring
GOALKEEPERS
Kaila Lemmer (Barnard, Vt.) was tagged with the loss for the Badgers, making nine saves on 16 shots. Bri Thibeau, who was relieved by Julie Pijacki towards the end of the first half, picked up the win for the Bears. The duo stopped all six Johnson shots in the shutout.
NEXT UP
Johnson will take on Clarkson on Saturday, September 10 in the second game of the Potsdam College Cup. Kickoff is set for 1:00 PM.
