Badgers Blanked by Colby-Sawyer College

NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Johnson State College women's soccer team fell to North Atlantic Conference (NAC) opponent Colbey-Sawyer College, 9-0 on Saturday afternoon at Kelsey Soccer Field.

Johnson falls to 1-6 on the season and 1-4 in NAC play while Colby-Sawyer improves to 2-8-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the conference.

SCORING 

1ST Half: Colby-Sawyer scored five goals in the opening half, two of which were assisted by Kelsey Campbell. Shari Rainville put the Chargers on the board first with a quick goal that was scored in just over a minute into the game.

 2nd Half: The second frame was much of the same for the Badger, giving up four goals to the Chargers. Amanda Martin assisted two goals for Colby-Sawyer in the second half, helping the hosts to a dominating win.

 GOALKEEPERS 

Danielle Schreiner (St. Albans, Vt.) was tagged with the loss for Johnson, allowing nine goals on 18 shots. Marissa Williams picked up the victory for Thomas, stopping Johnsons lone shot on goal.

 NEXT UP 

The Badgers will travel to New England College for a NAC tilt tomorrow, October 9th, scheduled to start at 2:30 PM.
