Aither, Rooney Earn NAC Women's Soccer Honors

WATERVILLE, Maine – Johnson State College seniors Kylie Aither (Hyde Park, Vt.) and Shannon Rooney (Waterville, Vt.) were among those honored by the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) on Monday as the conference announced its end of season awards for women's soccer.

Aither was named to the All-Conference First Team, while Rooney was named to the Sportsmanship Team.

Aither, a four-year member of the Badgers women's soccer team, ranked second in the conference in goals (19) and points (44). This season, she broke the all-time program record for career goals (52) and points (123).

Rooney, a two-year member of the women's soccer team, was named to the NAC Women's Soccer Sportsmanship Team, which is reserved for those who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior. The honorees are individuals who have positively affected the soccer culture and environment and whose behavior clearly demonstrates sportsmanship and integrity that go beyond the playing rules and etiquette.
