WSOC: Women's Soccer tops Newbury 6-0

Johnson, Vt.– The Northern Vermont University- Johnson (3-2-0) women's soccer team topped Newbury College (1-3-0) 6-0 in their contest at Minaert field on Sunday afternoon.

SCORING
1st Half: The Badgers received two goals from Kelsey Cauchon (Colchester, Vt.) and one goal from Dezirae Youngman (Jericho, Vt.). Cauchon scored her first goal at the 10:50 minute mark and followed with her second goal at the 22:23 mark. Youngman closed out the half with her goal at the 40:08 mark. 

2nd Half: The Badgers continued the effort in the second half Andrea Mercer (Naugatuck, CT) assisted Cauchon for the lone goal in the second half. Cauchon headed the ball in the back of the net for her third goal of the game. Iashia Cooper (Derby, CT) scored back to back goals in the 79thminute of the game to put the badgers up 6-0.

The Badgers outshot Newbury 15-1 for the game.

GOALKEEPERS
Anna Harris (Yorktown, VA) played the entire game in goal for the Badgers. Harris had 1 save on the game.

Newbury: Noelle Sass played the entire game in goal and had 3 saves.
