PAXTON, MASSACHUSETTS — The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's soccer team was defeated by the Amcats of Anna Maria College by a score of 5-0 in their non-conference match on Tuesday night. The Badgers move to 0-2 on the season in the loss.
SCORING
1st Half: The Amcats took control early and got on the board in the sixth minute of play off a goal by Keannah Dunsmore. Back-to-back goals by Anna Maria's Sydney Owen extended the Amcats' lead to 3-0 in the 17th minute of action. Johnson's Courtney Currier (Proctor, Vt.) battled in the net to keep Anna Maria at bay, but Alexandra Rowland was able to slip one past Currier in the 32nd minute to push their lead to 4-0 entering halftime.
2nd Half: Johnson regained their composure during halftime and kept the Amcats off the scoreboard again until the 90th minute of play when a goal by Courtney Hile sealed a 5-0 victory for Anna Maria.

Courtney Currier (0-0-2) made five saves on nine shot attempts in the loss Tuesday. Jules Reed (Morrisville, Vt.) also saw time in the net for the Badgers, making six saves on seven attempts by the Amcats. Anna Maria's Rachel Matloff (1-1-0) earns the win making one save on one attempt by Johnson.
