CANTON, NY- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's soccer team dropped a North Atlantic Conference game on the road against SUNY Canton Sunday afternoon. The Badgers were edged by a score of 1-0.
SCORING
1st Half: Neither team was successful in the first half scoring a goal. The Kangaroos recorded 12 shots in the first half. It was Jaden Gray that had the lone shot on goal for the Badgers, but the shot was saved by Victoria Hanna. Both teams went into the break scoreless.
2nd Half: SUNY Canton continued to attack as they recorded 19 shots in the second half. It wasn't until the 75thminute that Caitlyn Gerrard was successful in netting an unassisted goal to lift the Kangaroos to the 1-0 lead. The Kangaroos eventually went on to win by 1-0.
With the loss the Badgers move to 0-7 and 0-2 in NAC play.
