Bobcats Beat Badgers in Non-Conference Play

Paul Smith, NY- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's soccer team dropped a non-conference road game to Paul Smith's College on Wednesday evening by a score of 6-0.

SCORING

1st Half: It was the Bobcats to strike first as Falon Cote scored the first goal at the top of the box in the 28thminute of action. Cote was assisted by Kelly Proctor. The Bobcat's continued to push the pace as Katey Snyder chipped in the second goal of the contest off an assist from Kelvey McGinnis. With just three minutes remaining in the half McGinnis netted a goal of her own to take improve the Bobcat lead headed into the break.

2nd Half: Andrea Mercer led the attack for the Badgers in the beginning of the second half. Mercer found opportunities to attack but was unsuccessful having consecutive shots blocked by the Bobcat defense. In the 55thminute Snyder recorded her second goal of the contest. Caroline Armstrong netted her only goal of the game off a cross in at the 61stminute mark. With the Bobcats in control it was Allison Lamb who netted the sixth and final goal of the contest off an overhead in the 78thminute.

Aysha Hodgdon and Allison Irons split time in goal. Hodgdon recorded 6 saves and played 78:00 total minutes while Irons recorded one save while playing 12:00 minutes in goal.

With the loss the Badgers move to 0-10 on the season.
