Bangor, ME- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's tennis team fell to Husson University 8-1 on Saturday afternoon. With the loss the Badgers are now 2-2 overall.
SINGLES
Elizabeth Chitambar (Newport, Vt.) continues to be undefeated in singles play. She faced off against Husson's Meridith Blessard. Iris Serrano (Stowe,Vt.) was the next best for the Badgers but unfortunately fell to Nicci Munroe by a score of 6-1, 6-4.
DOUBLES
Husson took all three doubles matches for the afternoon. In the first doubles match Husson's Meridth Blessard and Ashley Matlock beat Mikayla Messier (Sheldon, Vt.) and Sam Kershner (Essex,Vt.) by a score of 8-4. The next two doubles the Badgers continued to struggle. They lost 8-3 and 8-0.
