Women's Tennis Edge Broncos in NAC Play

JOHNSON, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's tennis team edged SUNY Delhi in a North Atlantic Conference match by a score of 5-4.

DOUBLES

The senior duo of Grace Page and Samantha Kershner led the Badgers in No. 1 singles competing against Mackenzie Landman and Hailey Gunderson and won the match by a score of 8-5. The Broncos took the win in No. 2 doubles as Susan Hoskins and Madison Saleman captured the win over Iris Serrano and Kayla Hammond by a score of 8-4. Sarah Sylvain and Katelyn Tirrito closed out doubles action over Sarah Krzyston and Emily Kleiner winning by a score of 8-3.

 

SINGLES

Page took No. 1 singles over Landman by a score of 6-0, 6-1. SUNY Delhi's Gunderson captured the win over Kershner in No. 2 singles by a score of 6-1, 6-0. Hammond won No. 3 singles over Krzyston by a core of 6-0, 6-2. The Broncos took wins No. 4 and No. 5 singles before Tirrito gave the Badgers the lead by winning in No. 6 singles over Hoskins winning by a score of 6-1, 6-0.

 

With the win the Badgers improve to 2-9 on the season.
