PORTLAND, ME.- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's tennis program earned a bid to the North Atlantic Conference East Division Championship on Sunday afternoon against Husson University. 

The Eagles jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and closed the match on five straight victories. Hannah Malinen and Natalie Tilton earned the win against Mason Lores and Rebecca Simon in #1 doubles, 8-4. Nicci Munroe and Molly Chicoine followed up with an 8-0 win over Kayla Hammond and Nicole Mooney. Then the team of Marisa Brown and Jocelyn Bell picked up an 8-1 victory against Annika Dyhrberg and Mia Blackwell to help clinch the 3-0 sweep for Husson in doubles competition.

Malinen and Julia O'Leary earned the wins in singles action to clinch the match.
