Five Women's Tennis Players Highlight 2020-21 NAC All-Conference Honors

Waterville, Maine.- The North Atlantic Conference announced earlier today the 2020-2021 Women's Tennis NAC All-Conference selections for this season. Five members of the NVU-Johnson women's tennis program earned NAC All-Conference honor.

Annika Dyhrberg (Falmouth, Maine) is the 2020-21 Women's Tennis Senior Scholar Athlete. She is carrying a 3.86 GPA as an Elementary Education major and plans to teach kindergarten next fall. Dyhrberg earned a spot on either the President's List or Dean's List every semester at NVU-Johnson. She is a four-year member of the Badgers' Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), serving as president for the past two years. She is also the current president of the conference-level SAAC. During her time in Johnson, Dyhrberg served as a substitute teacher in local schools and also as Resident Advisor, Orientation Leader, and an academic tutor for her peers on campus. She has been named to the NAC All-Academic Team multiple times and also plays second base for NVU-Johnson softball.

Mia Blackwell (Eastham, Massachusetts) is the 2020-21 NAC Women's Tennis Rookie of the Year. Blackwell is a senior and three-year catcher and outfielder for the Badgers softball team who picked up a racquet for the first time this year. She played No. 4 singles and No. 3 doubles for NVU-Johnson. The Outdoor Education major played both softball and tennis this spring while balancing academics and being an active member of the NVU-Johnson and NAC Student Athlete Advisory Committees.

Sophomore Mason Lores (Englewood, Colorado) was named to both the All-Conference Singles team as well as Sportsmanship Team and Kayla Hammond (Springfield, Vermont) and Nicole Mooney (Hillsborough, New Hampshire) earned All-Conference Doubles honors.
