POTSDAM, N.Y. – The Johnson State College volleyball team fell to SUNY Potsdam and CÉGEP André-Laurendeau in a tri-match on Saturday.
The Badgers record falls to 1-6 on the season.
MATCH 1 vs. SUNY Potsdam
The Badgers went down in the first set, 25-8. Johnson was unable to rebound, falling in the second set 25 -7. The Badgers managed a stronger offensive effort in the third set, but ultimately fell 25-11.
STATS LEADERS
Breanna Laughlin (San Jacinto, Calif.) led Johnson with six kills to go along with four digs. Laurel Hubbert-Severance (Hinesburg, Vt.) had nine assists to lead the team. Kimberly Reville (Burke, N.Y.) chipped in four kills and a team leading seven digs.
MATCH 2 vs. CÉGEP André-Laurendeau
The Badgers fell in the first set, 25-13. CÉGEP André-Laurendeau took the second set from Johnson 25-11. Johnson was put away in the third set, going down 25-9.
STATS LEADERS
Laughlin led Johnson once again with seven kills and five digs. Hubbert-Severance had 11 assists to once again lead the team.
