EAST LONGMEADOW, MASS. – The Johnson State College volleyball team fell to Castleton and Bay Path in a tri-match on Saturday.

The Badgers record falls to 1-10 on the season.

MATCH 1 vs. Castleton

The Badgers went down in the first set, 25-16. The Spartans were strong in the second set, winning 25-7. Castleton put the Badgers away with a 25-10 third set victory.

STATS LEADERS

Breanna Laughlin (San Jacinto, Calif.) led Johnson with five kills and eight digs. 

MATCH 2 vs. Southern Vermont

The Badgers battled in the first set, but ultimately fell 25-18. In the second set, Bay Path mounted a strong offensive effort and took the set 25-9. The Wildcats put the match away in the third set with a 25-11 victory.

STATS LEADERS

Laughlin paced the Badgers again with ten kills to go along with five digs. Kimberly Reville (Burke, N.Y.) added seven digs while Laurel Hubbert-Severance (Hinesburg, Vt.) led the team with ten assists.
