VB: Johnson Falls to NEC and Colby-Sawyer

NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Johnson State College volleyball team fell to New England College and Colby-Sawyer College in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) quad-match on Saturday. The Badgers drop to 0-17 on the season and 0-5 in conference play.

MATCH 1 vs. NEC

Johnson hung in the beginning of the first set, with NEC holding a 13-6 lead early on. The Pilgrims went on a 12-5 run to end the set with a 25-11 win. NEC separated themselves early in the second set and cruised to a 25-5 victory. The Pilgrims put Johnson away in the third with a 25-2 victory.

STATS LEADERS

Kimberly Reville (Burke, N.Y.) led the Badgers with two kills and five digs. Sala Sarr (Tucson, Ariz.) paced the team with five digs.  

MATCH 2 vs. Colby-Sawyer

The Chargers jumped out to an early lead in the first and sailed to a 25-3 win. The Badgers hung around in the second, keeping as close as 7-5, but Colby-Sawyer took over and went on to the 25-8 victory. The Chargers took the third set 25-4 to take the 3-0 match victory.

STATS LEADERS

Kayla Atkinson (North Wolcott, Vt.) had a kill for Johnson while Reville added five digs.
