Badgers Beat Hornets in Non-Conference Match Up

JOHNSON, Vt.- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's volleyball team topped Northern Vermont University-Lyndon 3-0 on Monday night. With the win the Badgers improve to 6-6 on the season. 

 In the first set the Badgers controlled play. They got out to an early lead and eventually ended up with the win 25-13. During the second set NVU-Lyndon got out to an early lead but the Badgers came back and finished with the win by a score of 25-22. In the third and final set of the match the Badgers had the momentum and finished the match by a score of 25-10.

 Junior Nikola Knapova (Presov, Slovakia) continued her strong play and gave the Badgers a boost with 14 kills. She had a kill percentage of .591 and also had a team best 9 digs. Brooke Scheier (Milford, NJ) was second with kills. She contributed 7 kills. Julie Van Etten (Montrose, PA) continued to set up her teammates and gave the Badgers 21 assists. With the win Head Coach Keven John and the Badgers have won the most games in a single season since the program has been with the NCAA.
