Badgers Win Conference Matchup Against NVU-Lyndon

CANTON, N.Y.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's volleyball team faced off against both Northern Vermont University-Lyndon and SUNY Canton in a tri-match on Saturday. The Badgers were victorious in their first match of the day beating NVU-Lyndon by a score of 3-0 and ended up falling to SUNY Canton by a score of 3-0 later in the afternoon.

 

Match 1 NVU-Johnson vs. NVU-Lyndon

 Both Nikola Knapova (Presov, Slovakia) and Kimberly Reville (Burke, N.Y.) were impressive for the Badgers in the first match of the day with 8 kills each. Julie Van Etten (Montrose, PA) recorded a team high 22 assists and has averaged 6.81 assists per set this season. The Badgers controlled the first set winning in convincing fashion by a score of 25-7. The NVU-Lyndon Hornets battled back in sets two and three but ultimately fell by scores of 25-19 and 25-11. With the win the Badgers won their first North Atlantic Conference game of the season.
