Women's Volleyball Receives Commitment for 2019 Season

JOHNSON,Vt.- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's volleyball team got their first commitment from Lauren Havill for the 2019 season earlier this week. 

Following her two-year career with the Northern Virginia Community College volleyball team, outside hitter Lauren Havill has signed the necessary paperwork to continue her career at NCAA Division III Northern Vermont University-Johnson in the fall.

 During her time with the Nighthawks, Havill finished sixth all-time in career kills (320), fifth in attacks (1,011) and ninth in points (354.5). 

 In 63 matches at NOVA, Havill recorded at least one kill in 61 of them. She had double-digit kills in six matches.

 Against Montgomery in the 2018 NJCAA Region 20 Division II championship match, the Haymarket Virginia, native had a career-high 14 kills to help lead NOVA to its second Region 20 crown in five seasons. 

 She finished her sophomore season 14th in Region, Ranked in the top 20 in kills (145), 25th in kills per set (1.58) and 20th in points (161.5). 

At Northern Vermont University-Johnson, Havill joins former Nighthawk Nikola Knapova (Presov, Slovakia), who played in her first season for the Badgers led the country in aces per set. 

 Havill attended Battlefield High School.
