Aleesia Smith Set to Join Women's Volleyball for 2019 Season

JOHNSON, Vt.- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's volleyball team and Head Coach Keven John have received commitment from Aleesia Smith for the 2019 season.

Aleesia Smith has signed the necessary paperwork and has made her commitment to the Badgers for the 2019 season. Smith comes to Northern Vermont University-Johnson from Aurora, Colorado. When arrived at NVU-Johnson Smith plans to pursue a degree in Business Management. Throughout her high school career, Smith was a member of the Future Business Leaders of America, National Honor Society and a competing member of the Distributive Education Clubs of America. Smith earned a 4.3 grade point average in her final year of school.

Smith is excited for her next chapter at NVU-Johnson. "I chose NVU-Johnson for the beautiful campus. I loved the people and I felt like it was a place I could call my home away from home".  Smith played her club volleyball for Relentless Volleyball Club for six years and was a member of the  Vista Peak Prep women's volleyball team and is excited to join the Badger volleyball family.

"I am super excited to join the Badger family, the passion and drive for success makes me excited to become part of the program", said Smith. " I am super excited to be playing for Coach Keven John. It is evident how much he loves the sport of volleyball, and it makes me amazingly excited and hopeful for the season to arrive".
