Women's Volleyball Falls to Westfield State

HENNIKER, NEW HAMPSHIRE — The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's volleyball team was dropped 3-0 by Westfield State in their second match of the day. The Badgers participated in a tri-match hosted by New England College.

The Owls handled the Badgers in the first set, taking it by a score of 25-20 to take an early 1-0 lead. Johnson fought back in the second set before falling 28-26. The Owls closed the match with a 25-20 victory in the third set to seal their 3-0 over the Badgers.

Lauren Havill (Gainsville, VA) and Nikola Knapova (Presov, Slovakia) led the Badgers in kills with eight each. Knapova and Havill chipped in 25 and 21 digs respectively, and Brooke Scheier (Milford, NJ) pitched in with 19 digs of her own. Mason Lores (Englewood, CO) provided a spark for Johnson with 32 assists in the match.
