Jimmi Lynn Williams Commits to Women's Volleyball for 2020

JOHNSON, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's volleyball program and Head Coach Keven John have tabbed an additional commitment for the 2020 season. 

Jimmi Lynn Williams has signed the necessary paperwork and has committed to the Badgers for the upcoming season. Williams comes to NVU-Johnson from Florence, Colorado and was a member of the Florence High School varsity volleyball team while also competing for Fremont VBC on the club circuit. When arrived at NVU-Johnson Williams plans on pursuing a degree in English with a minor in Pre-Law.

"I chose NVU-Johnson due to the fact, I knew they not only had a good volleyball program but also offered an English program that is also very good", said Williams. "The staff and students here are all very helpful and welcoming". 

Throughout Williams career, she was the leader for digs in the Tri-Peaks League and 8thin the state of Colorado in total digs. In 2019 she earned the Hardest Worker Award, in 2020 she earned the Leadership Award and academically was a five-time Honor Roll student. 

"I am excited to play for Coach John. He understands the sport, but he also understands the student-athlete experience. I like the fact that he pushes his athletes to be the best versions of themselves, along with his passion for volleyball". 

The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's volleyball program and head coach Keven John will announce additional commitments for the 2020 season in the near future.
