VTSU Badgers Women's Volleyball battle back from down 2 sets to Win 3 straight sets and the Match!  Next up NAC East Divisional Finals!

CASTINE, Maine – The Vermont State Johnson volleyball team moved on to the North Atlantic Conference East Division final game with a 3-2 victory over #2 seed Husson University, on Saturday afternoon at Maine Maritime Academy.
 
Husson was able to take the first two sets (25-16, 25-19). Cheyenne Young recorded seven of her 13 kills in the two sets to give the Eagles the upper hand over the Badgers. Down 2-0, The Badgers were able to take their first lead of the match with a crucial must need win in the third set of the match. VTSU Johnson was able to take advantage of Husson's seven errors to force a fourth set. 
 
The Badgers recorded 13 kills during the fourth set to get them a 25-20 win. Max Ludrow contributed four kills with three coming from teammate Avianna Garcia. In a nail biting fifth set, 
Johnson and Husson would keep the score close, staying within a couple points of each other. With a 9-6 lead, the Badgers would record three services aces and two kills to send them to the East Division Semifinals. The last time Vermont State Johnson beat Husson was in 2021 during the NAC Volleyball Quarterfinals. 
 
Ludow would post a triple double with 11 kills, 10 assists, and 13 digs. Teammates Vivie Babbott and Jimmi Lynn Williams would also record 13 digs each for the match.
