Badger XC Completes Season With NE DIII Regionals

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Johnson State women's cross country wrapped up their 2011 season with a 50th place team finish at the 2011 New England Division III Regional Championships hosted by Bowdoin College on Saturday.

Jill Porter (Springvale, Maine/Sanford) was the top Johnson finisher coming in 312th with a time of 28:55.24.  Jennel Molleur (Hardwick, Vt./Hazen) came in 320th (29:26.49), Anna Allen (Shelburne, Vt./Champlain Valley) was 349th (33:45.35), Jessica Miranda (East Providence, R.I./East Providence) was 350th (36:05.25), and Alycia Brodeur (Colchester, Conn./Bacon Academy) was 351st (36:14.60).

Middlebury College, Williams College, MIT, Amherst College, and Tufts University finished 1-5 in the team results to give the Panthers their fourth consecutive New England title.

Williams' Chiara Del Piccolo was the top individual finisher with a time of 20:52.43 while Randelle Boots of Wellesley came in second (21:06.52).  Keri Lambert of Amherst came in third (21:08.93), and Middlebury's Margo Cramer (21:12.58) and Addie Tousley (21:16.57) came in fourth and fifth respectively.
