CASTLETON, Vt. - Johnson women's cross country had an incomplete team finish on Saturday at the Castleton Invitational. Castleton won the four-team race with a score of 28, four ahead of Green Mountain's 32. Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) came in third place with a 72.
Castleton's Mariah Eilers (Moretown, Vt.) came in first overall in a time of 22:09. GMC's Dakota VanTine (Four Season, Mo.) and Peyton Jones (Asheville, N.C.) were second (22:48) and third (22:50) respectively with Johnson's Jill Porter (Springvale, Maine/Sanford) coming in fourth (23:53) place. Jackie Caron (Grand Isle, Vt./Essex) (pictured) came in 13th (25:46) overall for JSC while Anna Allen (Shelburne, Vt./CVU) came in 18th (26:42) place and Amanda Bortlein (Ludlow, Vt./Black River) finished in 30th (30:04).
