In its opening race of the season on Saturday, Johnson State women's cross country finished in 5th place on the campus of SUNY Canton.

First year Brynn Cairns finished first for Johnson and 11th overall, cruising across the finish in 23:50 closely followed by senior Jill Porter who placed 13th with a time of 24:03.

The Badgers will travel to Plymouth, Mass. next weekend to run in the Race to the Rock.
