Johnson's women's cross country team competed in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championships on Sunday, taking home a eighth place finish out of nine teams.

The Badgers had six runners finish in the top 50 as the squad tallied 203 points. Colby-Sawyer took home first place after scoring 38 points followed by Husson (46) and Maine-Farmington (94) with respective finishes of second and third places overall.  

Abby Shafer of New England College was the top runner in the race, placing first with a time of 19:48, while Chrissy Larrabee and Alecia Palmer of Husson grabbed 2nd and 3rd overall.

Jill Porter finished as the top overall Badger on Sunday, notching a 27th place finish in 23:29. 

Sophomore Alyssa August capped off her season with a 41st place finish (25:25), while teammates Briana Walsh (25:41) and Brynn Cairns (26:07) rounded out the top four. 

Porter will compete for the Badgers in the New England Regional race on Nov. 15th.
