Southern Vermont College earned first place honors in the Johnson State College Invitational women's cross country race hosted at Johnson State on Saturday morning. The Mountaineers' Shelby Whitman who took 2nd place overall, Annika Kristiansen and Schyler McGuire who placed in third and fourth overall.
Aine McMorrow of SUNY Canton finished the course in 21:38 and took first place out of a 35 person field.
For the Badgers, sophomore Brynn Cairns took first place, finishing the course in 24:35 and taking 7th overall.
SUNY Canton finished second followed by Green Mountain College, then hosts Johnson State in fourth place and Thomas who placed fifth.
