Badgers Compete in SUNY Canton Kangaroo Invitational

CANTON, N.Y. – The Johnson State College men's and women's cross country teams placed 4th and 3rd, respectively, at the SUNY Canton Kangaroo Invitational on Thursday afternoon.

MEN'S RECAP

Jacob Greenia (Sheldon, Vt.) was the first to finish for the Badgers, placing 33rdin the field with a time of 19:55.30. Jason Harris (Lyndonville, Vt.), Jason Baker(Milford, Conn.), Kyle Duffy (Waterbury Center, Vt.), and Samuel Adams(Randolph, Vt.) also scored for Johnson State.

WOMENS RECAP

Emily McCarthy (Farmington, Maine) was the fastest Badger with a time of 21:48.31, good for 5th place overall. Brynn Cairns (Rutland, Vt.) also scored a top 15 finish, coming in 13th. Other scorers for the Badgers included Lily Denmeade (Quchee, Vt.), Sarah Sodaro (Monkton, Vt.), and Briana Walsh (Allenstown, N.H.).

The Badgers will head to Castleton on Saturday, September 10 for the Castleton State Invitational.
