Badgers Finish 4th in the Runnin' Monks Invitational

STANDISH, Maine. – The Johnson State College men's and women's cross country teams placed 8th and 4th, respectively, in the Runnin' Monks Invitational on the campus of St. Joseph's College, Saturday morning.

WOMENS RECAP

Emily McCarthy (Farmington, Maine.) and Brynn Cairns (Rutland, Vt.) were the Badgers top finishers, coming in 4th and 11th place with times of 22:02 and 23:05, respectively. Other scorers for the Badgers included Briana Walsh (Allenstown, N.H.), Lily Denmeade (Quchee, Vt.), Sarah Sodaro (Monkton, Vt.), Alyssa August (Granby, Conn.), and Chelby Nystrom (Brookline, Vt.).

MEN'S RECAP

 

Jacob Greenia (Sheldon, Vt.) and Jason Harris (Lyndonville, Vt.) were the top finishers for Johnson, finishing 30th and 41st with times of 33:21 and 35:28, respectively. Kyle Duffy (Waterbury Center, Vt.) finished 43rd for the Badgers with a time of 36:18. Erik Crosby (Springfield, Vt.), and Cole Shebak (Brookline, N.H.) also competed for Johnson State.
