JOHNSON, Vt. – The Johnson State College men's and women's cross country teams hosted the Badger Invitational on Saturday morning. The women placed second as a team, with the men recording a fifth place finish.

WOMEN'S RECAP

Brynn Cairns (Rutland, Vt.) earned first place individually with a time of 22:49.1, over 40 seconds better than the second place finisher. Lily Denmeade (Hartland, Vt.)  came in third for the Badgers, finishing in 24:50.3. Sarah Sodaro (Monkton, Vt.) finished 14^th overall, while Kate Abdel-Fatah (Braintree, Vt.) and Jessica Malskis (Jay, N.Y.) finished 19^th and 24^th. Emily Cass (Braintree, Vt.) and Elizabeth Tapia (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) rounded out the field for Johnson, finishing 26^th and 27^th.

MEN'S RECAP

Richard Radcliff (Danbury, Conn.) finished first for the Badgers, coming in 16^th with a time of 35:46.3. Daniel Ott (Wyoming, N.Y.) finished just behind him in 18^th, while Kyle Duffy (Waterbury Center, Vt.) followed in 21^st. Cole Shebak (Brookline, N.H.) and Erik Crosby (Springfield, Vt.) were Johnson's final finishers, coming in 30^th and 31^st.

SENIOR CELEBRATION

Johnson seniors Abdel-Fatah, Cairns, Tapia, Crosby, Duffy and Greenia were recognized following the race for running in their final race at Johnson.
