Women's Cross Country Competes in North Atlantic Conference Championship

BELFAST, Maine-UMaine-Farmington claimed the 2018 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Women's Cross Country Championship on Sunday, October 28. The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's cross country team had one runner finish in the top 20.

 Zosia Prince of NVU-Lyndon won the NAC individual title with a time of 20:49.64. 

 The Beavers claimed first place after scoring 41 points with three runners in the top 10. The 5k championship race included 58 total runners, representing eight schools. 

 Lily Denmeade  finished 19thoverall and was the top finisher for the Badgers. Denmeade finished with a time of 23:55. With the finish Lily Denmeade has qualified for the NCAA Division III Northeast Regional. Next to cross the finish line for the Badgers was Emily Cass (Braintree, Vt.) who finished in 36thplace with a time of 27:07. Sarah Sodaro (Monkton, Vt.) and Jessica Malskis (Jay N.Y.) were the third and fourth Badgers to finish. Sodaro finished with a time of 29:14 while Malskis finished with a time of 32:44.
