Seven Badgers Earn 2019 Winter/Spring NAC All-Academic Honors

WATERVILLE, ME- Seven Northern Vermont University-Johnson student-athletes were named to the North Atlantic Conference All-Academic Team for the Winter/Spring 2019 semester, as announced by the conference office today.

The following student-athletes from Northern Vermont University-Johnson who were honored include: 

Christle Page (South Ryegate, Vt.), a junior women's basketball player and Biology major

Jocelyn Pellerin (Keene, N.H.), a sophomore women's basketball player and member of the women's track and field team. Pellerin is pursuing a degree in Psychology.

Sheldon Billings (Ossipee, N.H.), a sophomore and member of the men's track and field team and a Health Sciences major.

Emily Cass (Braintree, Vt.), a junior Mathematics major who was a member of the women's track and field team. Jaden Gray (Clinton, ME) concludes all-academic honors for the women's track and field team and is majoring in Biology.

Two members of the women's softball team rounds out the recipients for Northern Vermont University-Johnson. Annika Dyhrberg (Falmouth, ME) and Nicole Mooney (Hillsborough, N.H.) have earned NAC All-Academic honors for the first time in their career. Dyhrberg is a Childhood Education major and Mooney is pursuing her degree in Health Sciences.

The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) is proud to announce that 138 student athletes have earned a spot on the 2019 Winter and Spring All-Academic Team.

The NAC Winter and Spring All-Academic Team recognizes student athletes on winter and spring season varsity sports teams who have earned a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Student athletes must also have reached sophomore academic standing and competed in a minimum of two years of varsity competition at their institution. Each institution is responsible for submitting eligible student athletes for the All-Academic Team.

The NAC sponsors men's and women's basketball in the winter, and seven sports in the spring season. Spring sports include men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's track & field, baseball, softball, and men's tennis.
