Men’s Tennis wraps up the 2023 season with three matches in four days

Delhi, NY - The Delhi Men's tennis team wrapped up their regular season with three matches in four days, winning one and losing two. The Broncos will miss out on the two-team North Atlantic Conference playoff after going 2-5 in conference play.

How it Happened:

The men's team faced non-conference opponents SUNY Oneonta on Friday, April 14th in a tough duel match, losing 0-9. Three singles Moises Saintil had the best day on the team with two game wins against his opponent.

The Broncos would then host North Atlantic Conference opponents Northern Vermont Lyndon after previously being beaten by them 0-9 earlier in the year on . The green and gold would manage to steal two match wins from the Hornets as freshman Benjamin Anderson won his singles match and Jacob Beach and Malachi Ritter combined for a doubles win.

Delhi finished the weekend off with their final head-to-head matchup of the season on Sunday, defeating conference opponent Northern Vermont Johnson 6-3.

In doubles play, Dominick DeBonis and Ben Anderson won (8-2) in the number one spot. While Ryan Fitzpatrick and Moises Saintil defeated the Badger's second doubles team in eight games, 8-0.

The Broncos would then win four singles matches to grab the conference win in the final match of the season. DeBonis in the number one singles spot, (6-1,7-5), Anderson at number three, (6-0,6-4), Saintil at four, (6-1,7-5), and Ritter at five, (6-1,6-2).
