Johnson, VT - The SUNY Delhi men's basketball team started North Atlantic Conference play with a win over VTSU Johnson in a game that was close throughout. Delhi came out on top 70-66 in a contest that featured 14 ties and 22 lead changes.
The men took the lead for good with 2:54 remaining in the game when Lester McCarthy hit a jumper for three of his 17 points on the game. Senior Marven Louissaint led the way for Delhi with a game high 25 points and eight rebounds. Isiah Barnes had another great game with seven assists, six rebounds and three steals.
The team will play again tomorrow against SUNY Canton in another coference contest.
