Men’s Volleyball Downs Northern Vermont-Johnson, 3-0

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's volleyball team defeated Northern Vermont-Johnson, 3-0, by scores of 25-14, 25-16, and 25-8 in conference action on Saturday afternoon at MacDonald Gymnasium.

Dean Warner (Kinderhook, N.Y.) highlighted the Gulls with a match-high/career-high 11 kills on 11 attempts.

Corey Klass Jr. (Beverly, Mass.) and Aidan Iacovelli (South Windsor, Conn.) also compiled four kills apiece in the team's conference opener.

Meanwhile, Gabe DeBenedetto (Rockford, Ill), Gavin Emenaker (Newton, Mass.), and Aidan Napoli (Henderson, Nev.) dished out 10, 10, and eight assists in the first, second, and third sets, respectively.

Today's match only featured six ties (0-6-0) and one lead change (0-1-0).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott snapped Northern Vermont-Johnson's four-match winning streak.
  • The Gulls picked up their third home victory of the season.
  • Endicott also handed the Badgers their first loss on the road this year (3-1).

Endicott (4-7, 1-0 NECC) hosts Sage tomorrow at 1 PM. Northern Vermont-Johnson (9-2, 0-1 NECC) visits Nichols tomorrow at 1 PM.
